Getting to the beach has never been this much fun! The secluded beach is accessible via a 5 minute boat ride down the river and under the iconic bridge.

Beautifully maintained flat grassy picnic sites on the riverbanks make for the perfect place to put your feet up and watch the world go by, or enjoy a braai at one of the braai lapas along the riverfront.

Offering Breakfast, Burgers, Toasted Sandwiches, Pizza, Cocktails and so much more, Paddlers have the perfect meal for the entire family. As well their famous Wine and Cocktail menu.
Fishing
Fish off the banks of the river or from your boat. You can also try your hand at fishing in the ocean, or going upstream into the scenic Umtamvuna Nature Reserve for a more peaceful fishing experience.
Play Area & Pool
Let the kids run wild in the play area with jungle gyms, swings, seesaw, or cool off on a hot day in the sparkling pool.
Resort Shop
Get your basics at the small on-site shop. Stocking the basics, such as sweets, chips, slush puppies, firewood, and ice and some other odds and ends.

The resort has boreholes to supply its own water (not for drinking though) and backup generators for power outages.
The Old Pont Cottage 2
Our cottage is perfect for family and friends to unwind and enjoy a stay at this well run resort.
We can accommodate four adults and four children up to the age of 12.
The cottage offers two bedrooms, each with a double bed and bunk beds. All bedding and pillows are provided.
The bathroom has a gas heated shower, a toilet, and a hand basin.
Our kitchen is well equipped with a kettle, coffee filter machine, microwave oven, a small stove, and a fridge. You will also find cutlery, drinking glasses, plates, cups, pots, pans, and ice trays.
The lounge offers a TV with OpenView, a sleeper couch, chairs, and a table.
Outside you will find a large built in braai with grid and a wooden bench table. Perfect for chilling outside.
What You Need To Bring
- Your own towels
- Drinking water (or purchase at the shop)
- Charcoal/Briquettes if you want to braai (also available at the shop)
- Food and drinks, or you can visit the restaurant which is onsite at the resort.
- Personal toiletries
- Fishing rods
- Camping chairs/picnic blankets if you want to sit around the braai lapas on the riverfront.
Regrettably you may not bring your pets. If you see pets at the resort, they belong to the permanent residents.

Long weekends are charged for as a block. The entire long weekend booking fee will be charged, even if only part of the long weekend is booked.
